Find Your Sartorial Fit
Choosing the right size can be tricky, especially in menswear, where tailoring, custom alterations, and fit philosophies vary between brands and regions. That’s why we measure each garment by hand on Sartorialista. But this guide will help you get a head start, so you can navigate sizing like a sartorial insider.
Sizing Overview — Please Note
This guide is designed to help you navigate sizing, but it remains an overview. Most items we offer are in standard sizes such as 48, 50, or 52. Lungo (long) and Corto (short) sizes do exist but are less common and are always clearly marked when available.
It's important to understand that sizing is only an indication, the actual fit depends on the tailor, pattern, and prior alterations. For example, a size 50 Tom Ford jacket may have a noticeably longer silhouette than a typical Italian size 50, some would consider it a Lungo, but for Tom Ford, that's standard.
Always refer to the actual measurements listed with each product to make the best choice for your body.
Conversion formulas
Short size = (IT size ÷ 2) + 2 → Example: 50 short = 27
Lungo size = (IT size × 2) - 2 → Example: 50 long = 98
