Curator's Description

Discover the Corneliani dark grey double-breasted virgin-wool polo coat, a timeless outer layer defined by its balance of structure and ease. Cut from heavyweight virgin wool flannel, it offers warmth, substance, and a softly brushed texture that enhances the depth of the dark grey tone. The classic polo coat collar and 6-button double-breasted front with horn buttons lend a sense of heritage, while envelope-style patch pockets introduce a relaxed, sporting note. Designed in a versatile medium length, it adapts effortlessly across formal and casual settings, with a martingale belt at the back and a functioning split with button closure adding both shape and practicality.

Discover the craftsmanship behind Corneliani, where Mantuan tailoring tradition is expressed through careful construction and material choice. Working with substantial wool flannel requires precision to maintain structure without stiffness, allowing the coat to drape naturally while retaining its form. Details such as the martingale belt and functional back vent reflect a considered approach to movement and proportion, while the overall design honours classic polo coat traditions through a modern lens. The result is a coat that feels enduring, versatile, and quietly authoritative in its execution.
