Corneliani Dark Taupe Cotton-Stretch Moleskin Pinpoint Vespa Jacket

Discover the Corneliani Dark Taupe Cotton-Stretch Moleskin Pinpoint Vespa Jacket. The moleskin is a cotton fabric finished to a surface so dense and smooth that it sits closer to velvet than to any conventional cotton cloth, the nap soft enough to register immediately against the hand and substantial enough to carry the dark taupe ground with a depth that a plain-woven cotton would flatten entirely. A pinpoint pattern runs through the moleskin construction, the fine repeat adding a quiet micro-texture beneath the napped surface that is felt as much as it is seen, the cloth presenting as something richer and more considered than its description alone would suggest.

The jacket operates on the same architectural logic as Corneliani's Vespa line: the front panel is constructed from a nubuck-touch material and attached to the body by a concealed zip, the entire front removable when conditions allow and replaceable when they do not, the two halves reading as a single coherent garment when worn together. A removable throat tab fastens across the open collar when the weather requires it, the strap closing the jacket's neck against wind and rain in the manner of a proper riding coat, the detail entirely functional and entirely in character for a piece conceived around the specific experience of a stormy afternoon on a Vespa. Flap pockets sit at the hips with a zipped ticket pocket above, the zip pulls finished with an engraved Corneliani family crest, the coat of arms present at the end of each zip as a detail that requires looking for and rewards the finding. The partial cotton lining is soft against the interior, the construction light and unencumbered in keeping with the jacket's purpose.

Corneliani designed the Vespa jacket for the man who rides and dresses with equal seriousness. In dark taupe cotton moleskin with a removable nubuck front and a crest on every zip, the jacket takes both seriously at once.
