Isaia Light Blue Wool, Silk & Linen Pinpoint Summer Jacket

Discover the Isaia Light Blue Wool, Silk and Linen Pinpoint Summer Jacket. The cloth works through the combination of three fibres and a pattern constructed at the smallest possible scale. Wool, silk and linen in a summer blend draws from each fibre with purpose: the wool contributing just enough body that the jacket holds its shoulder line without internal structure, the silk introducing a quiet luminosity to the surface and softening the linen's natural dry hand, and the linen providing the open weave construction that allows the jacket to breathe freely through the warmth that its wearing season demands. The pinpoint runs through this ground in light blue and white, the two tones alternating at a scale so fine that the individual points dissolve at any normal viewing distance into a unified, slightly textured pale blue, the white present as a lightening of the ground rather than as a visible pattern, the cloth reading as a considered summer blue with a surface depth that a plain weave at the same colour would not carry.

The jacket is built on Isaia's Neapolitan construction principles, the shoulder soft and the chest shaped through the cloth's own behaviour rather than through canvas and padding, the whole garment sitting against the body with the ease that the house has refined since its founding in Naples in 1920. Notch lapels and a 2.5-button closure give the front a clean, open proportion suited to the summer context, the lapel rolling naturally to its break. Patch pockets at the hips keep the construction in the relaxed register the cloth invites, the functioning buttonholes at the cuff finished by hand throughout. The jacket is half lined, the linen and silk blend breathing freely through the lower body.

Isaia makes summer jackets in wool, silk and linen for men who want the cloth to feel as considered as it looks.

The cloth shows and feels subtle signs of previous wear, reflecting that the garment has had a life before. The centre seam appears to have opened in the past and has since been reinforced from the inside with additional fusing, allowing the garment to be worn comfortably again. Overall, it remains in good condition and ready for a second life, with these signs of wear reflected in the price.
