Ten years later the house was renamed Kiton, and the CIPA identity became part of the archive. In 2010 Kiton reactivated it as the Cipa 1960 line, a collection built around research into the house's own archive models, rediscovered fabrics and materials from the 1960s, and a construction standard that sits alongside the mainline rather than below it. It is a homage to where the house began expressed as a fully realised product line.

The covert coat has its origins in British country and riding dress, defined by its clean, long silhouette and the velvet collar at the back neck that has identified the format for over a century. Here the velvet collar matches the dark brown of the coat rather than contrasting against it, a tone-on-tone interpretation that is more refined and more Italian in its restraint than the traditional contrasting approach. The herringbone runs through the wool and cashmere ground, the weave adding depth and directionality to the dark brown base, and the cashmere content softens the handle and adds warmth without increasing the weight of the cloth.

The coat closes at 2.5 buttons approaching three, with large horn buttons that carry their own visual weight against the dark ground. Flap pockets sit at the hips, a single vent at the back, and the interior is fully lined.

Kiton werd in 1968 opgericht door Ciro Paone in Arzano, nabij Napels. Ciro Paone werd in 1933 geboren in Napels en kwam uit een familie van stoffenhandelaren die al vijf generaties actief waren – wat nu zeven generaties zijn geworden.
