Loro Piana is the world's largest single buyer of baby cashmere and has been working with the fibre since the 1990s, with a level of access to the raw material and control over its processing that no other house can replicate at the same scale.

The sweater is cut in a slightly oversized fit, which in baby cashmere at this weight reads as relaxed without losing shape. The half-zip sits at the collar and allows the neckline to be opened or closed depending on the temperature, a practical detail that works particularly well in a transitional piece at this weight. The collar, cuffs and hem are ribbed, keeping the structure at the edges without adding visual weight.

Slate blue sits between grey and blue in a way that reads differently from either.
