Sartoria Voglio Dark Blue Caccioppoli Cotton Twill Sartorial Trousers

Discover the Sartoria Voglio Dark Blue Caccioppoli Cotton Twill Sartorial Trousers. The cloth is by Caccioppoli, the historic Neapolitan fabric house that has supplied the great tailors of Naples for generations, its name carried in the labels of some of the most considered bespoke and sartorial work the city has produced. Caccioppoli's cottons are woven with the understanding of a house embedded in a tailoring tradition that demands cloth behave as well as it presents, the twill construction giving the cotton a diagonal structure that adds strength, drape and a quiet surface relief to the dark blue ground, the weave holding a clean line through wearing in the manner of a cloth made for trousers by people who understand what trousers require of a fabric.

Dark blue in a cotton twill reads as a colour with depth and composure, neither the brightness of a summer blue nor the formality of navy suiting, the tone sitting in a range that works from a morning meeting to an evening without adjustment. The trousers are cut with a double pleat at the rise, the two pleats releasing fabric generously through the thigh and allowing the Caccioppoli twill to drape freely through the leg, the fullness of the cut in keeping with a trouser that understands comfort and elegance as the same proposition. The extended waistband is finished by hand, muted silver side adjusters set into each side, the restrained metal tone chosen to sit quietly against the dark blue ground rather than announce itself. A flap coin pocket is set into the right side, the small covered opening a sartorial detail that the conventional trouser pocket has long since abandoned and that here signals, without elaboration, the level at which these trousers are conceived. The button closure rise completes the construction.

Caccioppoli cloth in a double-pleated sartorial trouser with side adjusters and a flap coin pocket is a combination assembled by someone who has spent time thinking about what a trouser should be. The man who appreciates it will have done the same.
