"Tascabile" is Italian for pocketable, and the Tascabile does precisely that: the raincoat folds into its own internal pocket and compresses to a size that disappears into a bag, a briefcase or a carry-on, so that the decision to bring a coat or leave it behind is no longer a decision at all. The fabric that makes this possible is a 100% polyester technical microfibre, woven to a weight so superlight that the coat offers almost no resistance to compression, while the water-repellent treatment built into the cloth means it performs as a raincoat in full when unfolded and worn. The microfibre has a soft, slightly matte hand that reads as refined rather than technical, which matters for a coat that is also expected to sit over a suit or a blazer without embarrassment. The lining, also polyester, keeps the interior smooth and the coat easy to pull on.
