Camel hair is taken from the soft undercoat of the Bactrian camel, combed during the animal's natural moulting season and collected without harm. The fibre is hollow at its core, which gives camel cloth its distinctive combination of lightness and natural temperature regulation: warm without weight, and responsive to changes in body temperature in a way that wool cannot replicate. At this fineness and processing level the cloth is notably lightweight, with a smooth, refined surface that sits apart from the heavier, more insulating camel constructions typically associated with outerwear.

The gun check runs across the light brown ground in a small, disciplined pattern that adds structure to the surface without imposing itself on the overall character of the cloth. At this scale it registers as texture from a distance and resolves into its geometric construction on closer inspection.

Construction is current Brioni: handmade buttonhole on the lapel, genuine horn buttons, two-button closure on notch lapels, flap pockets at the hips. The jacket is half lined, which is the correct finish for a cloth of this weight, keeping the piece as light in wear as the fabric itself.
