Cut in the brand’s signature Aida fit, this jacket offers a softly structured silhouette that flatters without constriction. Notch lapels frame the face with timeless ease, elevated by a milanese handmade buttonhole that speaks quietly of artisanal mastery. Crafted from Loro Piana’s celebrated Summertime fabric—a refined blend of wool, silk, and linen—it offers lightweight breathability ideal for spring through early autumn. Finished with luminous mother-of-pearl buttons and a half-lined interior, this is a jacket designed for effortless sophistication in warmer climes.
Caruso’s tailoring heritage is rooted in Parma, where precision meets poetry in every stitch. The milanese buttonhole, entirely shaped and sewn by hand, is a nod to classical Neapolitan tradition—requiring both patience and dexterity. The Summertime fabric from Loro Piana adds to the piece’s allure; spun in Italy, it harmonizes the crispness of linen with the sheen of silk and the resilience of wool, resulting in a fabric that breathes and drapes with quiet elegance. Each element—from the half-canvas construction to the careful placement of every seam—underscores Caruso’s devotion to refined, modern tailoring. Discover the elaborated sartorial details below.

Full Canvas Construction
A sartorial jacket - or coat - needs an interlining that will help give it shape and mold it. Canvas gives the item a tailored and crafted look. In short, it breathes life into it. Purely technical, canvas is made from either horsehair, wool, mohair or camel hair. It could also be a mix of them all, with varying thickness and weight. The canvas is stitched to the jacket, often by hand, thus making the canvas pieces 'floating' in the middle of the inner and outer cloth. This gives the jacket added flexibility. The canvas runs from the upper parts, all the way down to the end of the jacket. After you wear your canvassed suit for a while, it will begin to take your shape and look incredibly natural.

Soft Shoulders
Soft Shoulders, or lightly padded shoulder construction, gives a softer, more casual silhouette to a tailored jacket. Soft shoulders have little padding and follow the contour of the individual’s shoulder to accentuate the wearer’s natural features.

Milanese Buttonhole
Also known as an ‘Asola Lucida’ buttonhole, the Milanese is made using a piece of thread called a ‘gimp’, which is tightly wound around it by a whipstitch to give the style its characteristic thread showcasing look. Achieving Milanese perfection is a delicate 15-minute process and something only a quality tailor can provide - no machine can imitate it.

Two-Button Closure
The jacket has a two-button closure which keeps the profile neat.

Barchetta Chest Pocket
The barchetta pocket is often thought to be a tailoring detail exclusively from Italy. The word “barchetta” is Italian for “little boat.” It describes how the pocket floats on the chest, gently angled upwards, like the bow of a sailboat.

Darts
The tailors adds two darts - think of them as pinched seams - to ensure the jacket’s body achieves a slim silhouette. The process, called mezzo punto riprese, is done entirely by hand.

Mother of Pearl Buttons
Mother of pearl buttons are iridescent buttons made from an inner layer of certain shells. Especially shells of oysters and mussels that contain nacre, the mineral substance that forms pearls. What makes these buttons so iconic is their inimitable pearly finish.

Patch Pocket
Patch pockets, with their rugged functionality, were unsurprisingly adopted by the military for both shirts and jackets.
