This is the correct approach for a jacket cut with patch pockets and a quarter lining, the minimal interior finish allowing the cloth to breathe fully through the body and the lower quarters. Notch lapels and a two-button closure keep the front clean. Bronze mother of pearl buttons are set throughout, the warm metallic iridescence of the shell picking up the silk's own tonal variation in the brown ground and tying the jacket's surface together at its fastening points.
