Discover the Corneliani Dark Blue Super 130's Road to Excellence Savor Lightweight Carcoat. The Savor cloth is Corneliani's own, a fine wool yarn twisted with a compactness that produces a fabric with a structural integrity well beyond what its weight suggests, the twisting giving the weave a quiet elasticity and a dry, clean surface that holds its line through a day's wearing without pulling or creasing in the manner of cloths with looser construction. Super 130's fibre at this gauge produces something that behaves more like a refined suit cloth than a conventional outerwear fabric, which is precisely the point: Corneliani has taken a cloth built for suiting and extended it into a carcoat, the result carrying all the behaviour of a tailored jacket at a length and proportion that functions as a light overgarment in the cooler months. The dark blue is a pure, clean tone in the Savor weave, the cloth taking the dye with the evenness that high-grade wool allows. The carcoat is left entirely unlined, the decision deliberate rather than economical, the Savor's construction substantial enough to hold its shape without the support of a lining while the unlined finish allows the fabric to breathe freely and move without the resistance that a full lining introduces. Slanted side pockets sit at a natural angle into the front, the cut clean and the construction in keeping with the cloth's character.
