Zegna was founded in 1910 in Trivero, Italy by a young entrepreneur called Ermenegildo - he was the youngest of Angelo Zegna’s 10 children. Angelo, a watchmaker by trade, had started weaving wool using four looms. Even though ironing can effectively and easily remove wrinkles from your tie, the heat has the potential to scorch and damage the material, and it can leave your tie looking lifeless and flat. Steaming is usually the better option because it's much gentler on the fabric and can tackle the most stubborn wrinkles.
