Kiton Deep Navy Lightweight Cashmere Shadow-Stripe Suit

Discover the Kiton Deep Navy Lightweight Cashmere Shadow-Stripe Suit. The navy here sits at the dark end of the spectrum, close enough to anthracite that the colour shifts depending on the light. The shadow stripe runs through that ground at a tone-on-tone depth that makes the stripe appear to have faded into the cloth rather than been woven through it. It is a subtle and unusual effect, and it is the kind of detail that only becomes clear once you are looking for it.

The cloth is pure cashmere, cut lighter than you would expect for a suit. Cashmere at this weight has a softness and drape that wool cannot replicate, and a suit built from it behaves differently on the body: it moves with the wearer rather than holding a fixed shape, and it presses back into form with minimal effort. This is not a cloth for everyday rotation. It is built for occasions where it matters.

Construction follows Kiton's standard: spalla camicia shoulder executed with the house's characteristic precision, handmade buttonholes, 2.5 button closure on notch lapels, and patch pockets at the hips. Inside, the jacket is fully lined in the house's signature violet-purple, carrying the Kiton logo. The lining alone identifies the piece to anyone familiar with the brand.

The trousers are single-pleated with belt loops and finished with a turn-up at the hem. The pleat and the turn-up are correct for a suit of this construction weight, giving the leg enough ease to fall properly without excess volume.

A lightweight cashmere suit from Kiton is a specific thing for a specific buyer. It does not need much explanation to the right person.

Kiton was founded by Ciro Paone in 1968 in Arzano, near Naples. Ciro Paone was born in Naples in 1933; he came from a family of fabric dealers who had been operative for five generations – which have now become seven generations. For more than 3 decades, Ciro’s passion gave rise to the Kiton project. With the founding of Kiton, Ciro turned his greatest passion into a vocation, elevating tailoring from a modest artisan craft to an artistic expression: the love for beauty, the love for beautiful garments. His entire existence focuses on two fundamentals: passion and quality.
