Kiton Urban Commando Derby Shoes

Kiton derby shoes, handmade in Italy. The design is contemporary, chunky yet elegant. Handmade in Italy from the finest clalf leather, paired with a commando sole. Including original Kiton cedar wooden shoe trees.

Developed in the 1930s, the ‘Itshide’ Commando sole was the first of its heavy-duty kind — and was adopted by the British Army as a way to keep troops tooled-up and kitted-out for even the most hostile landscapes.

All Kiton pieces are made from meticulously selected hides and assembled by expert craftsmen in their atelier in Naples. The superior quality hides are also processed by hand using artisan washes and dyes. Any imperfections, colour clouding, veining or creases distinguish Kiton products and make them one-of-a-kind. Therefore, every pair of Kiton shoes is unique, like those who wear it. Before delivery, Kiton shoes are left to rest for three months. They will meet their new owner only when they reach their final shape.

Kiton was founded by Ciro Paone in 1968 in Arzano, near Naples. Ciro Paone was born in Naples in 1933; he came from a family of fabric dealers who had been operative for five generations – which have now become seven generations. For more than 3 decades, Ciro’s passion gave rise to the Kiton project. With the founding of Kiton, Ciro turned his greatest passion into a vocation, elevating tailoring from a modest artisan craft to an artistic expression: the love for beauty, the love for beautiful garments. His entire existence focuses on two fundamentals: passion and quality.

EU customers have the right to withdraw within 14 days of delivery.

• Return shipping is at the customer’s expense

• Items must be returned unworn and in original condition

• Any use beyond indoor fitting may result in a diminished refund

Orders outside the European Union are exported goods and considered final sale (no returns).
