Lardini Dark Olive-Green Double-Breasted Wool Herringbone Overcoat

Discover the Lardini Dark Olive-Green Double-Breasted Wool Herringbone Overcoat. Dark olive-green in a wool herringbone with a dry, tweed-adjacent touch is a colour and cloth combination that sits at the precise intersection of the country and the urban, the green carrying enough warmth and earthiness that it reads as rooted in the British sporting tradition while the herringbone's structured weave and the double breasted's formal silhouette place it firmly in the city. The cloth has a dry, slightly resistant hand that positions it closer to tweed than to conventional smooth-faced suiting wool, the surface carrying a texture and a character that softer cloths do not produce, the fibre behaviour reinforcing the overcoat's country references at every point of contact.

The six-button double breasted is built with peak lapels, the wide lapels sweeping to the button line with the weight and authority that a cloth of this substance allows, the silhouette broad and commanding in the manner that the double breasted configuration produces at its most confident. A single vent at the back allows the overcoat to move freely when walking, the vent opening cleanly through the hem without the visual break that a centre vent introduces and without the restriction of a ventless back. Patch pockets sit on the front, the construction relaxed and in keeping with the overcoat's olive-green character. Horn buttons are set throughout, the natural material correct for a cloth with this much country reference in its colour, weave and hand. The overcoat is fully lined throughout.

Lardini makes overcoats with the same understanding of cloth and proportion it brings to its jackets. In dark olive-green wool herringbone with a dry tweed touch and a six-button double breasted, the result is an overcoat that knows exactly where it belongs.

Founded in 1978 in Filottrano in Italy’s Marche region, **Lardini** has grown into one of the country’s most respected tailoring houses while remaining proudly family owned. Established by Luigi Lardini together with his siblings, the brand built its reputation on refined construction, soft tailoring and an uncompromising attention to detail. The house is easily recognised by its signature lapel flower, a small emblem that reflects its balance between tradition and modern elegance. Lardini oversees much of its production in-house, allowing strict control over craftsmanship and finishing, from hand-sewn details to carefully developed fabrics sourced from Italy’s finest mills. The result is tailoring that combines the structure of classic Italian suiting with a lighter, contemporary sensibility, offering garments that feel as refined as they are effortless to wear.
