The Malibu is built around an almond apron toe, the stitched front panel sitting over the toe box with a relaxed, slightly rounded profile that falls between the precision of a dress shoe and the ease of a slipper, and the exposed handmade stitching that defines it is worn on the surface rather than concealed, the craft present where it can be appreciated. The shoe is left entirely unlined, the intention being that it is worn directly against the foot in the manner a warm-weather shoe should be. Orange bartack stitching on either side reads as a Santoni house signature, and the underside of the white rubber sole carries the same orange, a detail that reveals itself when the shoe is picked up.
