Saint Crispin's selects the hide accordingly, and in cognac brown the result is a surface that moves from amber to a deeper warm brown depending on the light, the colour carrying the natural variation of the skin without interruption across the full face of the shoe. Note that these shoes were custom-made for their original owner and feature their initials on the soles. Normal signs of wear consistent with preloved leather shoes are present. Overall, the pair remains in good condition and ready for a second life.
